Wedding ceremony - church or civil, is is something that you as a couple have to decide together. If you are both are religious or want to have a traditional wedding, registering your marriage in front of God will seem to be like the right choice. However, having a church wedding is a serious matter, as the promise you will make in front of God to your spouse, is the one you will be obliged to hold on to forever. It doesn't mean that choosing a civil ceremony is that you are not sure in your feelings for one another, or will not be together "till death do you part", it simply means that you have options in wedding venues: be it a beach, manor, garden, holiday destination or Las Vegas; and you can always renew your vows in front of God, when you feel you are ready to do it all over again.
